Alpinestars Youth SM3 Radium Neon/Black

Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the SM3 Youth helmet is optimized for MX, Enduro and off-road use. It incorporates advanced technologies from Alpinestars’ adult helmet range to deliver an optimal blend of performance, protection and comfort.

This lightweight helmet features a thermo-injected shell made from a technologically advanced, impact-resistant thermoplastic with varying degrees of thickness for an ideal combination of impact protection and reduced weight. The helmet weighs 1060g (ECE) and 1170g (DOT). Separate shell versions are constructed for DOT and ECE requirements, with the DOT-certified version featuring a composite fiber layer between the outer shell and EPS liner for maximum impact protection.

The fit can be tailored using crown and cheek pads, available as genuine spare parts in different thicknesses. Multiple-density inner liner materials provide the correct density in key areas for enhanced impact absorption while helping reduce overall weight. The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts, while Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating on the main EPS liner helps reduce rotational acceleration forces by acting as a slip plane.

The patented visor release system releases the visor with a predetermined amount of force to help reduce forces on the rider’s neck during an impact. The comfort liner is constructed using recycled materials to help reduce the helmet’s carbon footprint, and integrated hydration tube channels in the cheek pads provide added convenience.
