Alpinestars Youth SM3 Wurx Blue/Red/White

Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the SM3 Youth helmet is optimized for motocross, enduro and off-road use. Drawing on technologies from Alpinestars’ adult helmet range, it delivers an excellent blend of performance, protection and comfort.

This lightweight helmet features a thermo-injected shell made from an advanced impact-resistant thermoplastic polymer blend, with varying thicknesses for the optimal balance of impact protection and low weight. The shell is available in three youth size configurations, weighing 1060g (ECE) and 1170g (DOT). Separate shell versions are engineered for DOT and ECE requirements, with the DOT-certified version incorporating composite fiber between the outer shell and EPS liner for enhanced impact protection.

The fit can be tailored using interchangeable crown and cheek pads, available as genuine spare parts in different thicknesses. The two larger youth sizes share the same EPS size, allowing the helmet to be reconfigured as the rider grows; the smallest youth size uses a dedicated EPS liner and can be customized through the cheek pads. Multiple-density EPS provides the correct density in each area for improved impact absorption while reducing overall weight.

Engineered inner and outer surfaces help minimize the effects of oblique impacts. Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating acts as a slip plane within the main EPS liner to help reduce rotational acceleration forces. A patented visor release system is designed to release at a predetermined force, helping reduce forces on the rider’s neck during an impact. The comfort liner uses recycled materials to help reduce its carbon footprint, while integrated hydration tube channels enhance convenience and performance.
