Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the SM3 Youth helmet is optimized for motocross, enduro and off-road use. Drawing on technologies from Alpinestars’ adult helmet range, it delivers an outstanding blend of performance, protection and comfort.

The lightweight thermo-injected shell features a special polymer blend with varying thicknesses for an optimal combination of impact protection and reduced weight. The helmet is available in dedicated shell and EPS configurations to provide a precise youth fit, with crown and cheek pads available separately in different thicknesses for customizable comfort as riders grow. The multiple-density inner liner uses the correct density in each area to enhance impact absorption while minimizing overall weight.

Engineered inner and outer surfaces help reduce the effects of oblique impacts. Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating on the main EPS liner acts as a slip plane to help reduce rotational acceleration forces during certain oblique impacts. The patented visor release system is designed to release at a predetermined force, helping reduce forces on the rider’s neck during an impact. The comfort liner is constructed using recycled materials to help lower its carbon footprint, while integrated hydration tube channels in the cheek pads add convenience.
