Alpinestars Youth SM3 Radium Grey/Neon

Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the SM3 Youth helmet is optimized for motocross, enduro and off-road use. It incorporates advanced technologies from Alpinestars’ adult helmet range to deliver an excellent blend of performance, protection and comfort.

This lightweight helmet features a thermo-injected shell made from a technologically advanced, impact-resistant thermoplastic polymer blend with varying thicknesses for optimized impact protection and reduced weight. The shell is available in multiple sizes, with separate versions engineered to meet DOT and ECE requirements. The helmet weighs 1060g (ECE) and 1170g (DOT). The DOT-certified version features a composite fiber layer assembled between the outer shell and EPS liner for enhanced impact protection.

The fit can be tailored using genuine replacement crown and cheek pads available in different thicknesses. A multiple-density inner liner provides the correct density in key areas for enhanced impact absorption while helping reduce overall weight. Inner and outer surfaces are engineered to minimize the effects of oblique impacts, while Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating on the main EPS liner helps reduce rotational acceleration forces by acting as a slip plane.

The patented visor release system releases the visor with a predetermined amount of force to help reduce forces on the rider’s neck during an impact. The comfort liner is constructed using recycled materials to help lower its carbon footprint, and integrated hydration tube channels in the cheek pads add convenience and performance.
