Alpinestars Youth SM3 Matte Black

Anatomically engineered specifically for youth and younger riders, the SM3 Youth helmet is optimized for motocross, enduro and off-road use. Drawing on technologies from Alpinestars’ adult helmet range, it delivers an outstanding blend of performance, protection and comfort.

The lightweight thermo-injected shell uses a technologically advanced, impact-resistant thermoplastic with a special polymer blend and variable thickness for optimized impact protection. Available in three youth shell sizes, the helmet weighs 1060 g (ECE) and 1170 g (DOT). Separate shell versions meet DOT and ECE requirements, while the DOT-certified version features a composite fiber layer between the outer shell and EPS liner for enhanced impact protection.

Multiple-density EPS provides the correct absorption properties in key areas while reducing overall weight. The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to help minimize the effects of oblique impacts, with Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating on the main EPS liner helping reduce rotational acceleration forces. A patented visor release system is designed to release at a predetermined force, helping reduce forces on the rider’s neck during an impact.

The fit can be tailored with genuine replacement crown and cheek pads in different thicknesses. The comfort liner is made using recycled materials to help reduce the carbon footprint, while integrated hydration tube channels in the cheek pads add convenience and performance.
