Anatomically engineered and profiled specifically for youth and younger riders, the SM3 Youth helmet is optimized for motocross, enduro and off-road use. It combines advanced technologies from Alpinestars’ adult helmet range to deliver an excellent blend of performance, protection and comfort.

The lightweight thermo-injected shell features a technologically advanced, impact-resistant thermoplastic and varying thicknesses for an optimal balance of impact protection and reduced weight. The helmet weighs 1060g (ECE) and 1170g (DOT). Separate shell constructions are used for DOT and ECE requirements, with the DOT-certified version incorporating a composite fiber layer between the outer shell and EPS liner for enhanced impact protection.

A multiple-density inner liner provides the correct density in key areas for improved impact absorption while reducing overall weight. The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to help minimize the effects of oblique impacts, while Alpinestars’ patented low-friction coating helps reduce rotational acceleration forces by creating a slip plane within the main EPS liner. The patented visor release system is designed to release at a predetermined force, helping reduce forces on the rider’s neck during an impact.

The comfort liner is made using recycled materials to help reduce the helmet’s carbon footprint. Hydration tube channels are integrated into the cheek pads for added convenience and performance.
